- Mandatory Use of eVAT Portal: As of January 2025, all VAT transactions in Liechtenstein must be processed exclusively through the new eVAT portal, rendering paper submissions and previous digital methods invalid.
- Functionality of the eVAT Portal: The eVAT portal facilitates VAT registration, deregistration, billing (including corrections), applications, and access to account information, streamlining VAT compliance for businesses.
- Required Steps for Businesses: To utilize the eVAT portal, businesses must obtain an eID.li for secure identification, activate eRepresentation for managing VAT authorizations, and ensure they have updated access credentials, as existing login details are no longer valid. Companies not in the commercial register must apply separately for eRepresentation activation
