- Peppol Authority Announcement: On December 13, 2024, it was announced that France will establish its own Peppol Authority, marking a significant milestone in developing the French Continuous Transaction Controls (CTC) mandate. Until the French administration is ready, OpenPeppol will serve as the interim Peppol Authority.
- Responsibilities of the Peppol Authority: The Peppol Authority in France will oversee the implementation and operation of the Peppol network, including accrediting access points and service providers, ensuring compliance with Peppol standards, and providing support to businesses and the public sector.
- Successful Proof of Concept (PoC): Over the past two years, OpenPeppol, supported by FNFE and GENA, has conducted a successful Proof of Concept in France. The PoC’s results, concluding in Q4 2024, will inform the technical development and implementation of Peppol in France.
