- OpenPeppol has launched a pilot initiative in December 2024 to test the applicability of the 5-corner model in the context of the VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) proposal, which mandates cross-border e-invoicing and digital reporting requirements (DRRs).
- The pilot aims to demonstrate how the Peppol Network can meet Intra-community e-invoicing requirements and address ViDA-related DRRs while complementing existing continuous transaction controls (CTCs).
- Involving 101 participants, including tax administrations, Peppol authorities, service providers, and businesses, the pilot will define the architecture for e-invoicing and DRRs, with expectations to run until Q2 2026.
