According to recent reports, the Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo signed Decree No. 24/07 on 19 September 2024, which suspends the collection of VAT on essential food products until 31 December 2025, including beef, pork, offal products, poultry, certain fish, milk powder, rice, corn, corn flour, and sugar.
