The State Tax Service of Ukraine has recently published an updated version of the Detailed Technical Description of SAF-T UA 2.0 elements. This update introduces several significant changes aimed at improving data accuracy, completeness, and processing efficiency.
Some key updates include:
- Simplified XML structure with fewer mandatory fields.
- Enhanced data validation controls for better accuracy.
- New descriptions and examples for accounting policies and transaction types.
- Mandatory taxonomy elements and improved validation checks for customer data.
- Updated validation for units of measure and movement tables.
- New fields for supplier contracts and tax references.
The updated SAF-T UA 2.0 is expected to become a regular annual tax report for large taxpayers starting in 2025, and for all VAT taxpayers by 2027.
