- Sweden’s Single Face to Industry (SFTI) initiative will update its e-procurement standards, phasing out older formats in favor of Peppol BIS, starting July 1, 2025.
- The EDIFACT-based SFTI ESAP 6 standard for purchase orders will be removed from SFTI’s recommended list, marking a shift towards standardized e-commerce communication.
- SFTI, comprising municipalities, regions, Digg, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Procurement Agency, aims to streamline digital procurement processes across Sweden.
- Public sector vendors are advised to adopt Peppol BIS e-commerce standards, which include formats for catalog, punch-out, ordering, order agreement, despatch advice, and billing.
- To support this transition, SFTI provides resources such as an Excel template and software tools for creating Peppol BIS-compliant catalogs, facilitating a smooth adoption process for vendors and agencies.
