- The Senate has requested the government to separate the measure abolishing reduced VAT rates from the 2025 Tax Plan bill and present it as an independent bill.
- The current proposal includes eliminating the 9% reduced VAT rate for items such as cultural goods, services, accommodation, books, and sports.
- Starting January 1, 2026, these items will be subject to the standard VAT rate of 21%.
