The Cyprus Tax Department has issued a notice confirming the termination of the temporary application of the zero VAT rate on basic goods, meats, and vegetables. As previously reported, the application of the zero VAT rate was previously extended to 30 September 2024. Effective 1 October 2024, supplies of basic goods, meats, and vegetables are subject to the VAT rates in force prior to the issuance of the relevant decrees establishing the zero VAT rate.
