Nigeria’s Federal Inland Revenue Service has announced plans to introduce an e-invoicing platform to improve Nigeria’s tax administration system. The platform, which will be named FIRS e-Invoice, will streamline invoice management in alignment with the Tax Administration and Enforcement Act of 2007. The platform was announced by FIRS Executive Chairman Zacchaeus Adedeji during a private sector stakeholders engagement held in Lagos on 18 September 2024. Details on the implementation of the platform will be published once available.
