As the EU transitions into a new era of digital taxation, Peppol’s ViDA pilot is set to transform how businesses approach VAT compliance. Peppol’s ViDA pilot is designed to showcase how the network’s 5-corner e-Invoicing model can facilitate the new Digital Reporting Requirements (DRR) outlined in the ViDA proposal. The pilot will involve collaboration with tax authorities, service providers, and businesses across Europe, with phases spanning recruitment, design, and testing. Peppol’s 5-corner model simplifies the exchange of e-Invoices between buyers, sellers, and tax authorities, ensuring cross-border transactions remain compliant with a single set of standards. The Peppol ViDA pilot will focus on enhancing VAT compliance through both B2B and B2G invoicing, facilitating smoother, faster, and more accurate VAT reporting, and will contribute to the development of new DRR specifications.
