On Budget Day 2024, the government announced that the reduced 9% VAT rate on cultural goods, books, sports, and accommodations will be abolished as of 1 January 2026. Businesses will need to consider the impact on pricing, update systems, ensure correct invoicing, update VAT reporting, and review existing contracts and proposals.
