Entrepreneurs will not have to integrate online cash registers with payment terminals, and the provisions on penalties for lack of integration will also be abolished, according to the draft amendment to the VAT Act. The requirement, introduced by the Polish Deal, never came into force, because it was immediately postponed. The Ministry of Finance explains that there is still a shortage of terminals on the market that meet the technical requirements. Payment data will still be provided to the tax office by acquirers (companies dealing with the settlement of card payments).
