As the e-invoicing market expands, more providers are entering the field, with an estimated 50 new providers for each new mandate. In Europe, the implementation of VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) is predicted to result in approximately 1,000 active providers. Existing companies are likely to form partnerships to consolidate services, offering integrated solutions. Competition among solution providers could become intense as the market becomes fully regulated, making it challenging to differentiate basic e-invoicing services. Acquiring such services from third parties and focusing on value-added services could be a wise strategy. Currently, there are about 5,000 e-invoicing solution providers worldwide, but this number is expected to decrease significantly over time as the market consolidates.
