The GST Council is likely to discuss the status report on taxation of online gaming, progress of the drive against fake GST registration, and clear notifications to give effect to GST law amendments. The Council will also discuss reports on rate rationalisation and real estate. The status report on online gaming taxation will include GST revenue collection before and after the 28% tax implementation from October 1, 2023. The Council is unlikely to change the tax rates on online gaming. The Council will also be apprised about the drive against fake GST registrations and the amount of suspected evasion.
