Businesses and financial managers have a growing need for simplification of the current tax system. Recent research shows that the regulations regarding VAT, Income Tax deductions, corrections for cars and the work costs scheme (WKR) are particularly experienced as unnecessarily complex. Confidence in the tax system is also low: only 34 percent consider the current Dutch tax system reliable for companies.
