The Fraud Helpdesk reports that a fake e-mail is circulating with the request to fill in missing information for the VAT return for the second quarter of 2024. If the additional information is not provided, there is a threat of an ‘additional levy’ of no less than € 3,832. The e-mail appears to be genuine and is formatted in the corporate identity of the Tax and Customs Administration.
The Fraud Helpdesk asks people who receive these or other suspicious e-mails to forward them to [email protected] and only then delete them from their own mailbox.
