The European Parliament has published three resolutions approving and amending several aspects of the ViDA (VAT in the Digital Age) proposal. The ViDA proposal still awaits approval, but the Parliament’s publishing of these resolutions shows progress in addressing many of the concerns ViDA intends to address. The resolutions approve many aspects of the ViDA proposal, including amendments to the text, which the European Commission must acknowledge and address. Further progress, after deliberation, includes the Parliament notifying the EU Commission, EU Council, and remaining legislative bodies across the Union of their stance.
