Slovenia has proposed a new law that would make it mandatory for businesses to use electronic invoices within the B2B sector, but not for B2C transactions. The proposed law requires e-invoices to be reported to the tax authority using the e-SLOG standard within 8 days of issuance and receipt. Cross-border B2B transactions are also included in this requirement. The proposal allows for various formats for exchanging e-invoices, and it is open for public review and feedback. The new requirement is set to take effect on June 1, 2026.
