The Kerala High Court’s Division Bench has directed the State government to complete the selection process for members of the GST Appellate Tribunal within four months. This comes after a public interest litigation sought a directive to set up the council in accordance with the Central Goods and Services Tax Act of 2017. The government informed the court that steps were being taken to establish the council and the selection process was ongoing. The court disposed of the petition after recording the government’s submission and issuing a directive to complete the selection process within four months.
