On 11 June 2024, the Senate approved amendments to the Finance Law for 2024, moving the country closer to implementing mandatory e-invoicing. The PLFR (Portant Loi de Finances Rectificative pour 2024) Bill no. 012/2024, which amends the finance law of 2024, was adopted on the same date. The Finance Bill specifies that the Tax Administration will establish an online e-invoicing module to create a centralized, structured, and standardized billing system. The goal is to obtain reliable real-time information and reduce tax fraud. Additionally, it states that the online e-invoicing system will cover all transactions. The Tax Authorities have yet to disclose a timeline and specific details. Before the law is enacted, it must undergo constitutional review by the High Constitutional Court.
