Businesses in the U.S. are increasingly adopting e-invoicing for its advantages in efficiency, cost savings, and competitive advantage. The Business Payments Coalition (BPC) and the Federal Reserve have collaborated to establish an exchange network similar to PEPPOL, allowing secure and efficient invoice exchange across states. While not yet mandatory, many businesses are embracing e-invoicing. However, challenges such as partner unwillingness exist. The potential impact of a U.S. federal government mandate on e-invoicing is also considered.
