A project was started in late 2019 to create an international invoice model, resulting in the Peppol International Invoicing Model (PINT). PINT is an extension of the Peppol BIS 3.0 standard, aiming to enhance interoperability and accommodate country-specific e-invoicing requirements. It facilitates global exchange of electronic invoices and supports automatic processing, while adapting to diverse fiscal specifications. PINT enables companies to create invoices that comply with the business rules of both the sending and receiving countries, thus facilitating smoother international transactions.
