E-invoicing is gaining popularity internationally, replacing paper and PDF invoices, especially in B2B and B2G transactions. European legislation has accelerated this shift, mandating e-invoicing in B2G transactions. While this change may be daunting for some, e-invoicing offers numerous benefits to supply chain businesses. Paper invoicing, still widely used, is resource-intensive and costly compared to e-invoicing. The manual processes involved in paper-based invoicing make it complex and non-scalable.
