- In The Netherlands, e-invoicing is allowed and mandatory for transactions with central public administrations, with the preferred method being the Peppol network and the Peppol BIS 3.0 format. Other options include Digipoort, the Government’s Supplier Portal, and sending SI-UBL 2.0 invoices via email
- For B2G transactions with local public administrations, e-invoicing is not mandatory unless specified in the contract.
- Invoices must be archived for 7 years.
- In B2B transactions, there is no e-invoicing mandate, and businesses can use paper-based, PDF, or EDI invoices, also requiring 7-year archiving.
