Federal Council launches consultation on extending international automatic exchange of information in tax matters to cryptoassets
On 15 May 2024, the Swiss Federal Council decided to start the consultation process for extending the international automatic exchange of information in tax matters (AEOI). The extension will include the new AEOI for cryptoassets and the amendment of the standard for the automatic exchange of financial account information. The consultation period will end on 6 September 2024.
