The Colombian tax authority (DIAN) issued Ruling 294 on 25 April 2024, clarifying that the tax on single-use plastic products for packaging applies to sales in Colombia and abroad, including exports. The ruling also confirms that certain single-use plastic products are excluded from the tax, even when exported.
