Businesses must submit all export declarations through the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) by 4 June. HM Revenue & Customs announced that the CDS will replace the CHIEF system for all trade declarations. Traders can register for CDS via GOV.UK. HMRC is urging businesses to transfer to CDS and ensure their customs agents are ready to use the system. DPD UK reported a smooth transition to CDS for exports. Additional information and support are available on GOV.UK, including the CDS toolkit, checklists, alerts, and a free Trader Dress Rehearsal for practice.
