The Vietnamese Government proposed an extension of the 2 percent VAT rate reduction for certain goods and services until December 31st to support economic recovery. The extension, if approved, would exclude telecommunications, financial activities, securities, insurance, real estate sales, and certain other products from the VAT reduction.
