- In efforts to enhance trade, electronic invoicing (eInvoicing) is seen as a valuable tool for modern business, providing efficiency gains, cost savings, and trade benefits. The European Union and the United States are working towards compatible eInvoicing systems to reshape cross-market transactions and transatlantic trade. Despite similarities in technical specifications, there are differences between the respective eInvoicing systems. Both parties aim to cooperate for greater compatibility, particularly in terms of business and technical interoperability, as outlined in the attached declaration to this Joint Statement.
