The Georgia House and Senate passed H.B. 1181, which aims to repeal several sales and use tax exemptions, including those for aircraft engine remanufacturing, air and water pollution reduction equipment, telecommunications manufacturing, and mobility enhancing equipment. If enacted, these exemptions will no longer be available after December 31, 2029. Companies in the affected industries should review their procurement processes and update software systems to comply with the changes.
