Following the approval of the “Bundestag”, the “Bundesrat” passed the Wachstumschancengesetz on March 22, 2024, under which B2B e-invoicing will become mandatory, starting in January 2027 for companies with more than 800,000 € turnover and in January 2028 for companies with less than 800,000 € turnover.
However, all companies must be able to receive electronic invoices starting from January 2025.
