- Namibia will introduce an e-invoicing system in collaboration with the Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA) during the fiscal year 2024/25.
- The system will integrate cash registers at businesses with the Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS) to digitize processes and improve the collection and monitoring of VAT tax data.
- The implementation of e-invoicing is expected to reduce administrative burdens, lower compliance costs, and minimize VAT fraud. Additionally, the mandatory VAT registration threshold for SMEs will be increased from NAD 500,000 to NAD 1,000,000.
