The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), established in May 1981 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is a political and economic alliance between six Middle Eastern countries located in the Persian Gulf: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman.
