The zero VAT rate on some food products will not be extended after March 31, 2024, the Ministry of Finance announced on Tuesday. It justified that the reason was a drop in inflation. This means a return to the 5 percent rate. VAT on, among others, fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy products and cereal products. The Lewiatan Confederation expects that this will result in an increase in inflation in April by 0.9%.
