Starting from January 1, 2022, Dutch-based entrepreneurs and foreign entrepreneurs with a fixed establishment in the Netherlands must use eHerkenning on “Mijn Belastingdienst Zakelijk” to file VAT returns. The old portal for entrepreneurs will permanently close on July 1, 2024, and foreign entrepreneurs without a fixed establishment in the Netherlands must transition to “Mijn Belastingdienst Zakelijk” for all business taxes. eHerkenning is also available for foreign entrepreneurs not registered with the Chamber of Commerce to log in to “Mijn Belastingdienst Zakelijk” starting from January 29, 2024. This change aims to provide a more secure and user-friendly filing environment.
