The French EPR regulations have the largest number of categories compared to other countries. The recent update merges the Paper EPR category with the Packaging category, affecting businesses selling paper products in France. They will now need to register for Packaging EPR instead of Paper EPR. The combined category will be managed by the existing Packaging Producer Responsibility Organisation, and businesses will need to declare their paper usage under this category. Contribution fees are also being adjusted to account for the merger.
