Poland’s e-Invoicing mandate has been postponed indefinitely due to system errors. The KSeF system, which has been in a “voluntary phase” since January 2022, was found to have critical errors and concerns about its ability to handle the expected volumes of invoices. An external audit is planned to evaluate the issues. It’s unclear whether the system will address existing deficits, such as the inability to include attachments with invoices. Despite the postponement, KSeF remains available on a voluntary basis. There are benefits to switching to electronic invoicing, and businesses should view this as an opportunity. The impending mandates in other countries will drive demands on businesses to modernize and digitize their processes.
