The Commission Delegated Regulation 2024/249, officially published on February 12, 2024, in the Official Journal, brings pivotal changes to customs data requirements. Adopted on November 30, 2023, this regulation modifies Commission Delegated Regulation 2015/2446, replacing Annexes A, B, B02, B03, and 12-01.
Additionally, the unveiling of the new Union Customs Code Implementing Act, Commission Implementing Regulation 2024/250, adds another layer of significance. Adopted on January 10, 2024, it amends Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/2447, updating formats and codes for data requirements.
These revisions are the result of an extensive two-year review of data-related annexes, conducted concurrently with the development of customs electronic systems.
Transition periods have been carefully established to facilitate a seamless implementation process. This allows sufficient time for Member States, the Commission, and economic operators to adapt effectively.
