Spain has extended the zero VAT rate on certain foodstuffs until 30 June 2024, while the VAT rate for some energy products is increasing during 2024. The temporary 0% VAT rate applies to basic food items like bread, flour, milk, cheese, eggs, fruits, vegetables, legumes, and cereals until at least 30 June 2024. Olive oils, seeds, and pasta are temporarily under a 5% VAT rate, also extended until 30 June 2024. These measures aim to combat the impact of current inflation levels.
