- The mandatory implementation of Poland’s national e-invoicing system (KSeF) has been delayed due to system errors identified by the Ministry of Finance.
- The new implementation date is still to be determined, as the Ministry will commission an external IT audit of KSeF to address the issues.
- Taxpayers can still voluntarily use KSeF starting January 1, 2022.
- The original mandatory e-invoicing date of July 1, 2024, for most Polish businesses has been postponed.
- Small and medium-sized companies exempt from VAT were scheduled to comply from January 1, 2025.
- The Finance Minister emphasized the need for an external IT audit to ensure smooth operation of KSeF and mentioned that the audit results will determine the new implementation date.
- The postponement decision was made after considering project readiness and entrepreneur opinions, with the new mandatory e-invoicing date expected to be in 2025.
