Serbia has implemented a national e-invoicing platform called eFaktura, with phased implementation:
🗓️ May 1, 2022: All suppliers to public administration transitioned to sending electronic invoices.
🗓️ July 1, 2022: Serbian public bodies mandated the dispatch of electronic invoices to companies.
🗓️ January 1, 2023: E-invoicing expanded to the entire B2B sector.
📅 New Amendments – January 1, 2024: Changes to the Law on Electronic Invoicing include removing the requirement for recipients’ business account information and adding the tax category as a new common element.
🛣️ Future Plans: The Ministry of Finance is working on an e-waybill system, integrated with the e-invoicing system, set to launch in 2025.
🌐 Regional Collaboration: Montenegro plans to join the e-invoicing system, collaborating with Serbia to implement a centralized platform for electronic invoices.
