- Greece published Law 5073/2023 on 11 December 2023, implementing budget measures and requiring full implementation of electronic books (myDATA) for VAT and income tax from 1 January 2024.
- The law introduces penalties for non-compliance with myDATA requirements, including penalties for late transmission and repeated violations.
- The Ministry of Finance will issue further decisions on implementation details and exemptions.
- Additionally, the law extends tax incentives for e-invoicing implementation in 2023 and 2024, including reduction in statute of limitations, super deduction for initial purchase of equipment and software, and a faster tax refund process.
