- Attention Amazon sellers in Spain! There’s a critical update on the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations.
- The Spanish packaging laws require businesses selling packaged goods to customers in Spain to comply with obligations outlined in Royal Decree 1055/2022 and Act 7/2022.
- Producers must register their packaging with the Spanish Ministry and non-producers must ensure their suppliers are compliant.
- International sellers on Amazon.es must submit their products’ packaging registration number.
- The deadline for compliance is December 31, 2023, with non-compliance resulting in enrollment in Amazon’s Pay on Behalf service, incurring additional costs.
