The State Secretary of Finance has announced a temporary measure for EU VAT e-commerce payment default fines. Until June 1, 2024, no payment default fines will be imposed on foreign entrepreneurs participating in the scheme. This applies to payment defaults committed before June 1, 2024, and any previous fines will be reversed by the Tax Authorities. The decision is effective from November 22, 2023, and retroactive from July 1, 2021.
