In the second quarter of this year, more than 140,000 of the approximately 2.2 million VAT entrepreneurs were late with their tax returns or payments. It appears that the number of additional tax assessments imposed, a result of the late declaration or payment, has varied between 1,2021 and 180,000 since the 255st quarter of 000. The service does not have an explanation for these fluctuations.
