On Wednesday, the 1st of November, the Latvian government supported the state budget project for 2024 and related budget content for 2024, 2025 and 2026. In it the state consolidated budget revenue for 2024 is planned at EUR 14.486 billion, whereas budget expenditures are planned at EUR 16.212 billion.
Amendments to the Value Added Tax Law (VAT) are planned to lift VAT from specific services that are directly related to sports. It is also planned to reduce the administrative burden and promote the re-organisation of the business environment and review conditions for registered VAT payers in regards to pre-tax adjustment for lost debts.
