- Croatia has a fiscalization system for cash transactions, and plans to introduce “Fiscalization 2.0” in February 2023 to improve the system.
- This includes a decentralized e-invoicing model and continuous transaction control reporting to the tax authority.
- The government plans to mandate electronic invoices for resident taxpayers and has requested a derogation from the VAT Directive.
- Mandatory e-invoicing will be implemented on January 1, 2026.
