The Ministry of Finance has introduced a law called e-Factura System, which outlines the scope of the Romanian e-Invoicing System. This requirement applies to both resident and non-resident businesses registered for VAT. From January 1 to June 31, 2024, an offline invoice reporting system will be available. Penalties for non-compliance with e-Invoice regulation will not be enforced during the first three months of 2024. Mandatory e-Invoice submission will begin in July 2024 through a public platform, serving as a clearance model.
