On Tuesday, just after the elections, the Ministry of Finance issued a statement on the implementation of the state budget in January-August 2023. It was indicated that VAT revenues amounted to PLN 160.9 billion and were higher by approx. PLN 9.8 billion (i.e. 6.5%) compared to the performance in January-August 2022. At the same time, according to the budget law, inflation in 2023 is expected to reach 12.3 percent.
