- The Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs of the European Parliament (ECON) has published two draft reports containing 251 suggested amendments to the European Commission’s VAT in the digital age proposal.
- The amendments focus on e-invoicing and digital reporting requirements, and include suggestions such as setting a minimum threshold for taxable persons, extending deadlines for implementation, and allowing Member States to authorize other means of invoicing for transactions below a certain threshold.
- The suggested amendments will be reviewed by the European Commission.
